General Pressure Cleaning

Pressure Cleaning is the use of high-pressured water mixed with various chemicals to get rid of dirt, grime, paint, stains, and other unwanted gunk from any surface. It is the most efficient and effective way to clean all the nasty buildup on every part of your property.

When it comes to pressure cleaning, it is best to get the help of a professional due to the various types of pressure cleaning equipment, spouts and cleaning solutions that are used on different kinds of surfaces.

What to consider when pressure cleaning

Type of cleaning solution – Paint, dirt, stains, grime and other types of gunk may require different types of cleaning solutions.

Water Pressure – Wood and Brick surfaces in particular can easily get damaged when too much pressure is used. The recommended pounds per square inch (psi) for woods are 500 – 600 psi for softer types of wood and 1200 – 1500 psi for harder ones, while brick masonry shouldn’t receive over 1500 psi of water pressure.

Weather – Cold and hot weather can affect the drying time and reaction rate of the cleaning agent. Too cold and the water may freeze, making it hard to work with. Too warm and it may dry out the solution before it gets washed down. This may leave nasty stains on the surface.
